Avigail
… was the wise and beautiful wife of Nabal, a bad, greedy and tough man. After Nabal refused to give provisions to David, the potential king, and his men, Abigail gave them bread, wine, meat and dried fruits, and convinced David not to kill her husband. According to the Talmud, she did so using her wisdom, kindness and knowledge of Jewish law. Ten days later, Nabal died and David and Abigail, a woman of higher social status, married. She is the mother of his son Daniel (Chileab) and one of the seven prophetesses of Judaism, said to have prophesied to David.
